Senior Software Development Engineer
This position will be responsible for writing software for Inlet’s video compression and quality control products. This position will be located in our Raleigh, NC, office.
The successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be to design, develop and maintain high quality code to meet product specification and development schedules. Additionally, the candidate will participate in the full life-cycle of the product, including requirements design, technical design, task estimation, implementation, testing, debugging, and deployment.
This individual will be working with a team of engineers to further enhance and improve the performance and quality of Inlet's products.
The position requires:
- BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other technical field
- 5+ years experience as a software developer using C, C++, or C#
- Experience in software design, implementation and debugging is essential
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and ASP.NET
- Enthusiastic self starter with the ability to learn new technologies
- Ability to work well with developers, test engineers, and other team members
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written
- The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and interact amongst all levels and functions in an organization is required.
- Experience in Microsoft Windows Forms development
- Ideal candidates will have related experience with video products or environments such as encoders, decoders, Set-top-boxes, or IPTV networks
- Experience with IP network management such as SNMP is desirable
- IIS administration/security knowledge is desirable
- COM/DCOM experience
- Client or server development
- SOAP/XML experience
- JavaScript experience
System Test Engineer
This position will be responsible for testing Inlet’s video compression and quality control products. This position will be located in our Raleigh, NC, office.
The successful candidate will execute test plans and create and track defects. This individual will be working with a team of engineers to further enhance and improve the performance and quality of Inlet's products.
The position requires:
- BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other technical field
- Experience testing software applications is desirable
- Ideal candidates will have related experience with video products or environments such as encoders, decoders, Set-top-boxes, or IPTV networks
- Experience with IP network and storage equipment is desirable
- Ability to collect and describe details about defects that will enable the software developer to recreate and debug the problem
- Familiar with installing and using PC hardware
- Enthusiastic self starter with the ability to learn new technologies
- Ability to work well with developers, test engineers, and other team members
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written
