We often hear the word 'disruptive' used in and around technology discussions. The term sounds interesting and when used appropriately, it does tend to lend importance to a discussion. Last Thursday night, I watched the Redskins and Giants game. The unique thing about it, was that I was watching it on my computer, not my television. The NFL and NBC provided a free live stream of the game. Overall, the video quality was very good, but it sometimes suffered from dropped frames or stuttering. It also seemed to have different bit rates – I would get a blurry picture at times, but then it would get much sharper. I'm not sure how they were doing that.
