Technology Partners
Inlet Technologies is committed to partnering with leading companies that enhance our solution offerings.
Inlet recognizes the following technology partners:
Capitol Broadcasting Company
Capitol Broadcasting Company is a diversified communications company headquartered in Raleigh, NC. A pioneer in high-definition content creation and distribution, CBC was the first commercial company in the nation licensed to broadcast the High Definition (HDTV) television signal.
VC-1 is a video codec specification standardized by the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) and implemented by Microsoft as Windows Media Video (WMV) 9 Advanced Profile. This codec standard is powering the high definition (HD) revolution, enabling broad industry support, and driving extensive reach across different networks, consumer electronic devices and professional tools. WMV HD encoding overcomes HD's size limitations by providing a 2-3x per bit quality improvement over standard MPEG-2 encoding, making it much easier to deliver Windows Media content over traditional broadcast and wireless infrastructures. Inlet has partnered with Microsoft to bring this emerging standard to professional video markets.
Microsoft® Silverlight™ is a cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in for delivering the next generation of .NET based media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web. Silverlight supports fast, cost-effective delivery of high-quality video to all major browsers running on the Mac OS or Windows. Inlet fully supports Silverlight encoding, transcoding and quality control.
At Adobe, we develop the technologies that transform ideas and information into experiences that change how people live, work, and communicate. For over 25 years, we’ve built a legacy of innovation. Today we remain committed to enabling our customers to better engage their customers and consistently exceed their expectations.
Creation and distribution of next-generation media requires a combination of high-performance computing environments, professional software solutions and the support of vendors who understand the complexities involved. Inlet standardized a Fathom turn-key solution on the HP xw8400 Workstation, which is optimized for next-generation media, delivering computational and visualization power and I/O performance, while contributing to lower total cost of ownership. With Inlet’s Fathom encoder in the HP xw8400, the two companies provide the post-production market with a turn-key solution for high-performance advanced media compression.
