Neal Page

CEO, Founder, Inlet Technologies

Biography

Neal Page has over 20 years experience in business management and product development specializing in advanced technologies for video, imaging, and computer graphics. He is a recognized leader in the streaming media industry, and founded Osprey Technologies in 1994 (now a division of ViewCast Corporation). Mr. Page lead Osprey to a majority market position by securing strategic industry partnerships, winning OEM business, and delivering world-class products to establish the Osprey brand as the industry's "de facto standard." RealNetworks launched RealVideo® in 1997 with Osprey products. Previously, he held management positions at Sun Microsystems where Mr. Page led an elite Advanced Products Group to quickly deliver advanced media technology to market. Prior to that, he held senior engineering positions at Sun Microsystems, General Electric and Data General. Mr. Page holds BS and MS degrees in electrical and computer engineering from North Carolina State University, and has completed executive programs at the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School. He presently serves on the board of directors of Hauppauge Digital, Inc (NASDAQ: HAUP).

Don Bossi

Chairman of the Board

Biography

Don joined Technology Venture Partners in November 2007 as a Venture Partner, where he works with each of the firm’s portfolio companies on issues of strategy and business development. Previously, he served as President and CEO of Aegis Lightwave, a leading manufacturer of cost-effective optical network monitoring solutions based in Woburn, MA. Don joined Aegis after a decade-long career with JDS Uniphase Corporation, where he held a variety of senior leadership roles including: President of the Transmission Sub-systems Group, President of the Active Components Group, and General Manager of the Electro-optic Products Division. Don holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from MIT. In addition, he has completed executive education courses at Stanford University School of Business. Don also serves on the Board of Directors for several privately held companies.

Bryson Hollimon

Managing General Partner, Technology Venture Partners

Biography

Bryson D. Hollimon is the founder and Managing General Partner of Technology Venture Partners, L.P., an early to mid-stage venture capital fund with an investment strategy focused on networking, communications, software and semiconductor technologies. Prior to forming Technology Venture Partners in 2000, he was a Senior Managing Director and Director of Investment Banking at Dain Rauscher Wessels, now RBC Capital Markets. Previously, he spent ten years as an investment banker, senior executive and venture capital investor, with Wessels, Arnold & Henderson. In his roles as Head of Investment Banking at Wessels, Arnold & Henderson, LLC (WAH) and its successor firm Dain Rauscher Wessels, LLC, Mr. Hollimon was responsible for the execution of over $18.4 billion of equity financings and $7.6 billion of merger & acquisition advisory work. Prior to joining Wessels in 1989, Mr. Hollimon was a Senior Vice President in the investment banking division of Wheat First Securities, Inc, now Wachovia Corporation. Currently, Mr. Hollimon serves on the boards of the following companies: Aegis Semiconductor, Inc.; Inlet Technologies, Inc.; Nistica, Inc.; Redshift Systems Corporation; SentitO Networks, Inc. and Verrillon, Inc.  In addition, Mr. Hollimon also serves as Vice Chairman of the Urban Ventures Leadership Foundation, Minneapolis, MN.  Mr. Hollimon is also a guest lecturer at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management on topics related to investment banking and venture capital.

Pascal Luck

Managing Director, Core Capital Partners

Biography

Mr. Luck joined Core in April of 2000 and concentrates primarily on the firm's technology investments. His areas of focus include the telecommunications, software, and information technology sectors. Mr. Luck serves on the Boards of Directors of Covega, Nextone, Trust Digital, and VPI Systems and is a Board Observer at Sourcefire and Trinity Convergence.

Prior to joining Core, Mr. Luck was a Director and Founder of CrossHill Financial Group, a DC-based, private investment banking firm. At CrossHill, Mr. Luck was responsible for executing numerous merger and acquisition transactions, private placements, and financial advisory assignments for clients in the communications, high technology, manufacturing, and service industries. Earlier, Mr. Luck was a Senior Manager in the management consulting division of Deloitte & Touche, where he specialized in finance and strategy for the telecommunications and information technology industries. His clients included AT&T, MCI, Sprint, GTE, Bell Atlantic, Williams, and US West, among others.  Mr. Luck is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research. He holds an M.B.A. in Finance with Distinction from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a Masters of Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics/Engineering from Loyola College. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife and son.

Jim Pastoriza

Managing Partner, Telecommunications Development Fund (TDF)

Biography

Jim Pastoriza joined TDF early in 2004, after being a founding partner of Telegraph Hill Communications Partners, L.P. based in San Francisco, California and a partner of J.P. Morgan Communications Partners, L.P. He also has experience as an associate, and later partner, at AT&T Ventures. Prior to AT&T Ventures, Mr. Pastoriza held operational positions at AT&T and Lucent Technologies. He was the Product Manager for AT&T's Consumer Long Distance Service, generating $13 billion in revenue from 60 million customers. Before joining consumer services, Mr. Pastoriza was the Executive Assistant to AT&T's Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Development and a member of AT&T's Executive Committee. Previously, Mr. Pastoriza was a Lucent Technologies Account Executive ranking in the top 1% of national sales. He received a B.S. from Columbia University and earned his M.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Jimmy Goodmon

Vice President & General Manager, CBC New Media Group, Capitol Broadcasting Company, Inc.

Biography

James F. Goodmon Jr. recently assumed responsibility for the CBC New Media Group at Capitol Broadcasting Company. Starting as a camera operator for the 5AM News at 16 years old, his career path has spanned a multitude of television station functions, from promotions, programming, and operations to selling radio and television spots. In his recent assignment he oversees the development of vision and strategy for the non-traditional media business opportunities that have emerged. Goodmon and his New Media team overlook WRAL.com, WRAL NewsChannel, WRAL Weather Channel, and News Over Wireless, a local news to mobile phones application. Before New Media, Mr. Goodmon served as Director of Programming for WRAL-TV/DT.


Fred Hutchison

Founder and Member, The Hutchison Law Group

Biography

As the firm's founder, Fred D. Hutchison has helped to establish Hutchison Law Group as the premier provider of strategic business and intellectual property-related legal counsel to leading technology companies throughout the Southeast.


Mr. Hutchison is a recipient of the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, the highest civilian honor within the State of North Carolina, and was named 2007 Entrebizneur of the Year by Business Leader Magazine. Among numerous other appointments and recognitions, he has recently served as Chairman of the Triangle Community Foundation. He is currently the Co-Chair of the capital campaign for WUNC-FM and the Chair of the First Flight Venture Center, a non-profit incubator located in Research Triangle Park. He is also the founding President of the Council for Entrepreneurial Development, the largest entrepreneurial support organization in the country.


Peter Sockett

Chief Engineer, WRAL-TV

Biography

WRAL-TV, the first television station in the nation to broadcast a high-definition signal, is a recognized leader in high-definition technology. As Chief Engineer, Mr. Sockett administers and directs the station's technical operations to ensure efficient, continuous on-air operation. Prior to joining WRAL, Mr. Sockett was the Director of Operations and Broadcast Engineering for WBBM-TV in Chicago.

David Spitz

Entrepreneur

Biography

David Spitz is a veteran entrepreneur who has founded, financed, and successfully exited multiple venture-backed technology companies. Mr. Spitz is currently worldwide VP of Product Management and Services for ChannelAdvisor Corporation, a multi-channel e-commerce company.  Mr. Spitz is also Entrepreneur-in-Residence at The Aurora Funds, a Southeast venture capital firm with over $200 million under management.  He has significant experience developing and commercializing new software technology in industries as diverse as media, wireless, and telecommunications. Mr. Spitz holds two U.S. patents.
